Good morning! You may have been distracted by a certain Senate confirmation hearing, but the Supreme Court has been taking care of business in the meantime. Today is the final argument day of the Supreme Court’s October sitting, and in both cases, lawyers from one law firm will be starting off the argument. We take a behind-the-scenes look at how the firm managed a series of Supreme Court arguments. We also offer some memorable moments from one of last week’s arguments: Ford Motor Company v. Montana Eighth Judicial District Court. And finally, we consider what is happening with the court’s “circuit justice” assignments in the wake of Justice Ginsburg’s death.
