Play It Again—A federal judge in New Jersey said last week he won’t reconsider an order he made last September granting a new trial to the producer credited with launching Lady Gaga’s career. The producer, Rob Fusari, had previously been ordered to pay $7.3 million to the talent scout who introduced him to the singer.

U.S. District Judge Jose Linares of the District of New Jersey issued a two-page order Feb. 17 saying that plaintiff Wendy Starland’s motion for reconsideration had been decided on the briefs. A corresponding opinion was filed under seal. Linares scheduled a final pretrial conference for March 8 and gave the parties until March 2 to file motions to seal or redact the opinion.
