A $1.65 million settlement was reached in a Hudson County lawsuit, Gonzalez v. Quick Transit Management, for a 78-year-old woman who was hit by a commercial bus while crossing Hudson Avenue in Union City. The sum was paid on Feb. 13.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 10, 2020, plaintiff Elda Gonzalez was crossing Hudson at 32nd Street in the crosswalk when she was hit by a bus operated by Luis Encarnacion-Germo for Quick Transit Management Agency a/k/a Fuji Express. The bus made a left turn and struck Gonzalez and then backed up, running over her again, her suit alleged.
