A Newark, New Jersey, federal judge dismissed a False Claims Act suit against ferry operator New York Waterway, notwithstanding its ex-employees’ claims that the company dumps sewage and other pollutants into the Hudson River.

U.S. District Judge Brian McNulty dismissed the case for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction, citing the plaintiffs’ failure to observe a 60-day notice period under the Clean Water Act before filing suit.
