A Burlington County jury awarded $2.06 million on Dec. 5 in the case of a woman who suffered spinal injuries in a motor vehicle accident, Smiley v. Carter.

Glenda Smiley, of Willingboro, was driving east on Levitt Parkway in Willingboro on Sept. 10, 2018, when her vehicle collided with another that was operated by Charles Carter Jr. Carter was pulling out onto Levitt Parkway from a side street, Evergreen Drive, when he collided with Smiley’s vehicle, said Smiley’s attorney, W. Robb Graham of Robert I. Segal‘s office in Medford. Carter told police he did not see Smiley’s vehicle because it was following a van, and he pulled out after the van had passed him, according to Graham.
