Helmer, Conley & Kasselman announced that Jeffrey Weinstein has joined the firm as of counsel. He had served as a deputy attorney general in the Appellate Section of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, and spent the last 20 years in private practice. He will be practicing in Helmer Conley’s Trenton office, according to the release.
Merman Joins Javerbaum Wurgaft
Steven H. Merman
Steven H. Merman, former assistant county counsel for Union County, joined Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins as counsel in its Union office. Merman focuses his practice on real estate, land use and zoning. In addition to practicing as a full-time assistant county counsel, he also served for four years as the director for the county’s Division of Planning and Community Development. Merman, the firm said, has a background in all areas of local municipal law and land use development, including all land use litigation. Merman received his B.A. from American University, and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.
