Senators confirmed the nomination of Georgette Castner for a seat on New Jersey’s federal bench Thursday by a tight margin of 52-47.
The margin split largely on party lines, although some Republicans, including Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, and Susan Collins, R-Maine, voted for Castner.
