Frank O’Marra signed on for one year as executive director of the Bergen County Bar Association in June 1985, not expecting the gig to last beyond that.

But he was way off. It would turn into a stellar 35-year run. And after hundreds upon hundreds of networking and educational events, ceremonies to celebrate new legal talent, and nearly a year of a pandemic that would wipe out all live events, Friday, Jan. 22, is O’Marra’s last day in the role that he made his own, and which solidified his reputation as the “go-to guy” at the BCBA.
