Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison has shifted some of its litigation leadership to Washington, D.C.

The New York-based firm has appointed D.C.-based Karen Dunn and Kannon K. Shanmugam as co-chairs of its vaunted litigation practice, the firm confirmed Wednesday. Dunn and Shanmugam join co-chairs Ted Wells and Jessica Carey, both of whom have been at Paul Weiss for more than 20 years and are in New York. The litigation department makes up about 42% of the firm’s head count, with about 68 partners, 196 associates and 31 counsel.
