Former U.S. appellate judge Richard Posner must face some claims in a wage lawsuit accusing him of not paying a person he hired to run a now-defunct pro bono legal services organization, an Indiana federal judge ruled Monday in adopting a magistrate judge’s report and recommendation.

The lawsuit alleges Posner agreed to pay $120,000 annually to Brian Vukadinovich to serve as executive director of the Posner Center of Justice for Pro Se’s but never gave Vukadinovich $170,000 that he was owed for more than a year of work.
