The timeline of former President Donald Trump’s 2020 election interference case still remains up in the air after his arraignment Thursday in Washington, D.C.

Lawyers observing the case are divided on whether it could conclude before the 2024 general election based on the charges brought forward or whether pretrial motions could drag on for months, delaying any verdict until after the election.
