“What a difference a year makes,” said Senate Banking Committee Chair Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, as he opened Tuesday morning’s hearing on crypto regulation. 

Brown pointed to the $54 million the cryptocurrency industry spent on ads promising “untold riches and the chance to make history” during the 2022 Super Bowl while this weekend’s big game featured none of the same hype.
