After Jason Van Tatenhove, a former employee of the far-right Oath Keepers group, received a request to meet with the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, he turned to Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

Van Tatenhove, who testified on Tuesday during the committee’s sixth in a series of public hearings this summer, appeared on the committee’s radar after he was featured in an ABC News/Hulu documentary about the Capitol attack.
