The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on Wednesday tossed a former Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan associate’s racial and gender discrimination lawsuit against the law firm.

The former employee, Crystal B. Nwaneri, sued Quinn Emanuel in 2019 claiming the firm’s Washington, D.C., office has a “boy’s club” culture with business practices that discriminate against women and Black employees. Her complaint was dismissed last year by District Judge Trevor McFadden for lack of prosecution after she missed numerous deadlines.
