A federal judge in Oregon has appointed 11 lawyers to lead more than 40 class actions brought over alleged security flaws in Intel Corp.’s microprocessor chips.

In a Monday order, U.S. District Judge Michael Simon of the District of Oregon appointed six men and five women to the team, including co-lead counsel Christopher Seeger and Rosemary Rivas. Other law firms on the team, Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check and Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, are leading a separate case against Advanced Micro Devices Inc. alleging the same security defect.
