Welcome to the latest edition of the Lit Daily’s In-House Litigation Leaders series where we focus on lawyers making the hiring decisions, shaping the strategies and managing the caseloads at some of the nation’s largest and most innovative companies.

Meet Nikki Stitt Sokol, director and associate general counsel of Meta Platforms Inc. Sokol joined the company in 2012 shortly after Facebook’s initial public offering and has helped manage a docket heavy on securities and privacy litigation over her 11-plus years at the company. Prior to moving in-house, she practiced as a litigation associate at Mayer Brown in Chicago, Dwyer & Collora in Boston (which has since merged with Hogan Lovells), and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Silicon Valley. Our conversation with her last week was so chock-full of insight that we’ve decided to run this interview in two parts.
