Welcome to the latest edition of the Lit Daily’s In-House Litigation Leaders series where we focus on lawyers making the hiring decisions, shaping the strategies and managing the caseloads at some of the nation’s largest and most innovative companies.

Meet M. Neal Cope, the vice president of legal affairs for commercial litigation, regulatory & compliance for Retail Business Services, which provides legal support to the U.S. grocery chains owned by Dutch retail grocer Ahold Delhaize, including Food Lion, Food Giant and Stop & Shop, as well as its U.S. supply chain company and e-commerce business. Based in Salisbury, North Carolina, Cope also serves the Food Lion chain as its brand counsel, a general counsel-type role where he sits with the brand’s leadership team.
