Covington & Burling lawyers led by global litigation chair John Hall and partner Jennifer Saulino on Tuesday won a seven-day federal jury trial in Kansas on behalf of Julie Burkhart, founder and CEO of pro-choice and reproductive justice organization Trust Women.

The pro bono Covington team—which included associates Elizabeth Saxe, Julia Post, Marianne Kies, Annie Wang, Amanda Humphreville, and Molly Doggett plus local counsel Robert Eye of Robert V. Eye Law Office—defended Burkhart from a $1 million-plus suit brought by a prominent anti-abortion activist.
