E-discovery wouldn’t hold its current place in the legal technology circuit if it weren’t for a small yet influential group of pioneers. From the judiciary side of the equation comes Judge Nan Nolan, who in addition to working on pretrial discovery and hosting numerous lectures and workshops on the topic, co-founded the Seventh Circuit’s E-Discovery Pilot Program—an effort to develop procedures that reduce the burden of e-discovery costs while maintaining fairness among parties.
