Policy discussions around information governance often treat “privacy” and “security” as two sides of the same coin. Mauricio Paez, partner at Jones Day, will moderate the panel “The Debate Between Security and Privacy Continues: Where Do We Draw the Line?”, the Sept. 27 keynote at ALM’s CyberSecure conference, to encourage attendees to disentangle the two concepts as they consider new policy.

“There is a need to have a discussion on the key differences between policy and normative approaches to privacy vs. security, and how security supports the implementation of these policy choices around privacy,” Paez said.
