ESentio Technologies held its 2007 CIO Retreat at the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired Arizona Biltmore, the perfect location for three intense days of brainstorming, networking, trend analysis — and great meals.

Yvonne Dornic, eSentio’s president, intentionally limits the group to under 30 attendees, a formula that works well to generate an atmosphere that is intimate and candid. The event drew CIOs from across the country, including LTN edit board member Andy Jurczyk, of Sonnenschein; Luce Forward’s Anne Marie Dufresne, King & Spalding’s Thomas Gaines, and Eugene Stein, of White & Case. The group also included Marty Metz , who recently jumped the chasm from vendor to a firm, and now is at O’Melveny & Myers. I especially enjoyed sitting next to Sherry Lalonde of Cooley Godward Kronish; and Malke Kramer, of Venable.
