Reed Smith has joined the growing number of law firms expanding their C-suites with new chief innovation officers, hiring David Cunningham from Winston & Strawn to fill the new role.

Reed Smith is the second Am Law 100 firm to announce a new innovation role this week—an indication of the growing demand for such positions in Big Law. On Monday, Crowell & Moring named veteran legal technology figure Alma Asay as its senior director of practice innovation and client value.
