On July 23, Judge Kyle Carter of Harris County's 125th District Court signed a judgment confirming an arbitration award that calls for Houston attorney Robert S. Bennett and his firm to pay $27,500 plus interest to a former client who alleged he was overcharged. Former client Gary Land, represented by Nick Oweyssi, filed Land v. Bob Bennett & Associates, P.C., et al. in to confirm a Houston Bar Association Fee Dispute Committee arbitration award.
