Bankruptcy filings dropped by double-digits in Texas in 2011 compared to 2010, but lawyers nonetheless are staying busy.

Business and consumer bankruptcy filings in Texas totaled 51,955 in 2011, down 10.8 percent from 58,242 in 2010, according to data made public on Feb. 7 by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.
