Dallas’ Corea Trial Group has filed a suit alleging it was “cheated” out of telephone calls from prospective clients when firm founder Thomas Corea helped host live, call-in television programs.
In its Feb. 29 petition in Corea Trial Group LLC v. CBS Corp., et al., the firm alleges that its representatives expected to receive 100 percent of the viewer calls, but only received 44 percent. The “Ask the Lawyer With Tom Corea” TV shows aired during the noon hour on Channel 21 (KTXA) during the second half of 2011.
