Plaintiff awarded $5,361 for past medical expenses

On March 29, a driver whose face struck a steering wheel in a collision was awarded $5,361 for past medical expenses. In 2007, Lawrence Willie was struck by Janet K. Neeley, who attempted a left turn in front of him. One of his front teeth was knocked loose. It fell out about two years later and was not replaced. He also claimed a torn meniscus in one knee that struck the dashboard. The defense argued that Willie was still under treatment for a prior motor vehicle accident at the time of this crash, and the lost tooth was unrelated to this accident.
