The 2010 World Series between the Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants is over, but the sparring over legal fees in the Texas Rangers Baseball Partners (TRBP) bankruptcy continues.

On Oct. 12, Weil, Gotshal & Manges filed a fee application with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas in Fort Worth seeking $5.47 million in fees and expenses for representing TRBP in its bankruptcy proceedings. TRBP, which sold the Texas Rangers team at auction this summer, is controlled by Dallas investor Thomas Hicks.
