| Legal Aid Teamwork
To the Editor:
On behalf of the team of Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) lawyers and support staff who represented 38 mothers whose children were taken in the Eldorado raid, thank you to the Texas Lawyer for recognizing TRLA as the "2008 Impact Player of the Year." [See "The Mom Squad," Texas Lawyer, Dec. 22, 2008, page 14. ] The Eldorado effort represents the very best of legal aid, the private bar and the Texas Access to Justice Foundation. However, TRLA would be remiss, and the story incomplete, absent an acknowledgment of the extraordinary work of our colleagues at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas (LANWT). The LANWT attorneys worked the same 16-hour days as their TRLA counterparts and extended every professional courtesy to us under exceptional circumstances.
