Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young is looking to get out ahead of a potential malpractice suit by filing a declaratory judgment action against client Sovereign Bank in which it seeks a ruling that it did nothing wrong in representing the bank.

The firm filed a complaint in Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young v. Sovereign Bank last week in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania “seeking to put an end to ongoing and baseless assertions and threats of malpractice being voiced by defendant, Sovereign Bank N.A.”
