Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads is set to significantly expand its nascent New York office with the acquisition of two smaller firms this month.

The expansion is part of an 18-month internal assessment by the Philadelphia-based firm that included some heavy reorganization of its administrative and management systems in the wake of recessionary pressures and attorney defections. The announcement of the New York growth comes on the firm’s 100th anniversary today.
