Former Luzerne County Judge Ann H. Lokuta will not be able to plead her case before the U.S. Supreme Court now that the high court has refused to hear her appeal, seemingly ending a drawn-out saga involving allegations of prejudice, selective prosecution and judicial conflicts of interest.

The court declined Lokuta’s petition for writ of certiorari without comment Monday.
