A U.S. attorney has left the building

Jeffrey Taylor, the interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia for more than two years, resigned his post last week to join Ernst & Young’s Washington office. He’ll start this month as head of the accounting firm’s fraud investigations area. Despite early concerns that he lacked local ties, Taylor received high marks during his tenure. Once his first interim period expired, judges on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia voted unanimously to extend his stay.
