An unusual coalition of business and civil rights groups and a number of former U.S. attorneys general strongly urged the U.S. Sentencing Commission recently to make clear that waiver of attorney-client privilege and work-product protections should not be a factor in determining whether an organization gets a sentence reduction for cooperating with the government.
