Athornia Steele, a former interim and associate dean at Capital University Law School in Ohio, has been named dean of the Nova Southeastern University Law School in Davie, Fla. Steele is the first African American dean ever named at Nova, a private law school with 1,000 students. He replaces Joseph D. Harbaugh, who is stepping down after 13 years as dean but will remain on the staff.
