Employees at Rabobank International are blocked from social media web sites during the work day, and the bank also forbids them from discussing company business on sites after work, according to associate general counsel Andrew Sherman.

In contrast, employees at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP are encouraged to use sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, said Jeffrey Seymour, who leads the company’s analytic and forensic technology practice in the Northeast.
