SAN FRANCISCO — DLA Piper, which has been investing in its private equity practice globally in the past year and a half, just bagged a big one, with the hire of one of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips’ private equity leaders in Southern California.
Masood Sohaili, co-chairman of Manatt’s private equity practice in Los Angeles, will be joining DLA as a partner next week, confirmed a source with knowledge of Sohaili’s situation.
