SAN FRANCISCO — TiVo Inc. has reached a $500 million settlement agreement with Dish Network Corp. and EchoStar Corp., effectively ending the companies’ seven-year legal dispute over digital video recording patents.

Alviso-based TiVo was represented by a team of in-house and outside counsel, which included general counsel Matthew Zinn, associate general counsel David Fligor and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati IP partner Michael Murphy in Palo Alto.
