SAN FRANCISCO — The Sixth District Court of Appeal on Tuesday roundly criticized and reversed Judge Thomas Edwards’ decision to dismiss the long-running trade secrets case brought by Jasmine Networks Inc. against Marvell Semiconductor Inc.

The case, featuring an accidental voicemail confession by Marvell’s general counsel, was finally headed to trial in Santa Clara County Superior Court after eight years of pretrial maneuvering, including a previous trip to the Sixth District.
