SAN FRANCISCO — Last week, Blake Thompson was just another associate cranking out briefs at a small San Francisco law firm.

On Monday, he turned into an ESPN fantasy sports celebrity, grabbing the $1 million grand prize in the network’s Streak for the Cash Pick-Off. Thompson, who focuses on constitutional and civil rights law at Rosen, Bien & Galvan, beat out three other finalists after betting on an underdog team in a minor league soccer game. His final pick made for his ninth consecutive correct pick, while the other contestants broke their streaks.
