The Alameda County legal community is reeling from the death Friday of Superior Court Judge Barbara Miller, 58, a former presiding judge noted for her community involvement.
Miller died unexpectedly at her Oakland home. Oakland police say the cause of death appears to be natural but they are awaiting autopsy results.
