Research in Motion, manufacturer of the popular BlackBerry, suffered another blow Tuesday when an appeals court ruled that the Canadian company is infringing patents held by NTP Inc. However, the Federal Circuit also said the district court had misconstrued one claim in the disputed patents, and sent the case back to the district court to review that question. The case has drawn attention from the patent bar and BlackBerry owners worried that the devices might be pulled off the market.
