If the friendly reception U.S. District Judge Gregg Costa of Galveston enjoyed during a Feb. 25 U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee hearing is any indication, confirmation as President Barack Obama’s first Texan on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit should not be a problem.
And it probably doesn’t hurt that Costa’s testimony engaged the committee in a bit of Fifth Circuit historical humor.
