South Florida seems to be the center of the sports world today with international soccer star Lionel Messi deciding to join Inter Miami, while two of the region’s sports teams compete for national titles. And local sports lawyers are happy to see it.

Messi’s decision to play out of the region is just the latest domino to fall putting Miami on the map in major ways. Formula One made a splash into Miami when it signed a deal to hold races there for the next ten years, as the region also gears up to host up to six World Cup matches in 2026. And all these huge deals are creating work that requires plenty of legal expertise.
