Pharmaceutical company Merck was hit with a product liability lawsuit regarding the HPV vaccine Gardasil Tuesday in Florida Middle District Court. The lawsuit alleges that the vaccine has a questionable efficacy rate and causes injuries due to it being fast-tracked by the FDA in 2006. The complaint was filed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Children’s Health Defense and Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman on behalf of Corinn McElerney. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 8:21-cv-01814, McElerney v. Merck & Co. Inc. et al.
