In a sign the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is slamming the pedal to the metal on auto-lending enforcement, the agency this week sued the lending arm of U.S. Auto Sales Inc. and is seeking millions of dollars in remedies and penalties.

The complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Atlanta comes just months after the CFPB and New York attorney general filed suit against giant subprime lender Credit Acceptance Corp. alleging it misrepresenting the cost of credit.
