Anheuser-Busch global litigation head Marc Shelley started this week as chief legal officer at Believer Meats, an Israeli cultivated-meat startup that broke ground on its first U.S. commercial-scale facility in December.

Shelley was at Anheuser-Busch for six years, starting out as director of global litigation. He most recently took on the additional role as head of the brewer’s IP, employment law and crisis management strategy, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was also a partner for 13 years at Kansas City, Missouri-based Shook, Hardy & Bacon, where as a member of the products liability team he advised multinational manufacturers on consumer protection claims.
