Denver International Airport’s general counsel has resigned amid reports that his impromptu demonstration on police de-escalation tactics during a holiday party for executives escalated quickly and, apparently, really got out of hand fast. 

Scott McCoy stepped down from his GC post on Jan. 1, after CBS4 in Denver reported that he had repeatedly slapped another in-house lawyer’s face and yelled at the “shocked” colleague during a Dec. 16 holiday gathering.
