Risk and compliance programs became more sophisticated last year, despite being deprived of adequate funding and staffing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The number of “mature and advanced” programs grew by nearly 30% year-over-year while “reactive and basic” programs shrunk by 35%, according to the latest annual risk and compliance benchmark report from NAVEX Global Inc.
