Global workforce solutions provider Kelly Services Inc. has named a new general counsel after the chief legal officer left earlier this year and the chief transactional counsel took the legal department reins in the interim.

Troy, Michigan-based Kelly announced the appointment of Vanessa Williams as senior vice president and general counsel on Wednesday. She succeeds Hannah Lim-Johnson, who left Kelly in March at the genesis of the COVID-19 pandemic and started her new role as chief legal officer at automobile component supplier Meritor Inc., also in Troy, last month. Janis Acosta, who joined Kelly in 2019 as chief transactional counsel, served as interim general counsel.
