Employee safety and potential pay issues for grocery store workers continue to be a concern for grocery store in-house counsel now five months into the pandemic.

For safety, they are making sure that personal protective equipment is provided and social distancing guidelines are in place, but there is also the issue of pay and making sure employees are being paid properly. Making sure both of these concerns are prioritized could prevent employees from unionizing.
